The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) that was established in 1951 to promote humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. IOM's main objectives are to:

- Provide humanitarian assistance to migrants and refugees
- Support the development of migration policies and laws

- Reintegration: IOM helps migrants who have returned to their countries of origin to reintegrate into their communities and to rebuild their lives.
- Research and analysis: IOM conducts research and analysis on migration trends and issues, and provides data and information to policymakers and other stakeholders.
IOM has a presence in over 160 countries and works with a wide range of partners, including governments, civil society organizations, and the private sector.
