Tag ekiti tuc chairman sues state government of demoting him
A interesting news!
According to reports, the Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Ekiti State, Mr. Sola Adigun, has sued the Ekiti State Government for allegedly demoting him from his position.
Adigun, who is also the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the state, is seeking a court declaration that his demotion was unlawful and unconstitutional.
In the suit filed at the Ekiti State High Court, Adigun claimed that he was demoted from his position as TUC Chairman to a lower rank without any just cause or reason.
He is seeking an order of the court to reinstate him to his former position as TUC Chairman, as well as an order directing the state government to pay him all his entitlements and benefits that accrued to him during his tenure as TUC Chairman.
The suit is also seeking an order of the court to restrain the state government from taking any further action that may prejudice his rights and interests as TUC Chairman.
The case is currently pending before the court, and it remains to be seen how it will be resolved.
It's worth noting that the Ekiti State Government has not commented on the matter, and it's unclear what led to Adigun's alleged demotion.
