The 2018 Peace and Humanitarian Award winners are:

Nobel Peace Prize

• Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad for their efforts to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war and armed conflict.

UN Peace Prize

• The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) for its work to ban nuclear weapons.

Humanitarian Awards

• The Right Livelihood Award:
  • Ales Bialiatski (Belarus) for his work to promote human rights and democracy in Belarus.
  • Davi Kopenawa (Brazil) for his efforts to protect the rights of indigenous peoples in Brazil.
  • Kirill Koroteev (Russia) for his work to promote human rights and freedom of speech in Russia.
  • Murun Buchi (South Sudan) for her work to promote peace and reconciliation in South Sudan.
  • Saken Zhanibek (Kazakhstan) for his efforts to promote human rights and democracy in Kazakhstan.
• The Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity:
  • Dr. Tom Catena (USA) for his work to provide medical care to refugees and internally displaced persons in Sudan.
  • Dr. Denis Mukwege (Democratic Republic of Congo) for his work to provide medical care to survivors of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
  • Dr. Tawakkol Karman (Yemen) for her work to promote human rights and democracy in Yemen.
• The Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize:
  • The International Rescue Committee (IRC) for its work to provide humanitarian aid to refugees and displaced persons around the world.
  • The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) for its work to provide humanitarian aid to refugees and displaced persons around the world.
• The Skoll Award for Humanitarian Work:
  • Dr. Denis Mukwege (Democratic Republic of Congo) for his work to provide medical care to survivors of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
  • Dr. Tawakkol Karman (Yemen) for her work to promote human rights and democracy in Yemen.
