Supreme court gives zamfara apc new date

To clarify, the Supreme Court of Nigeria did not give Zamfara APC a new date. In fact, the Supreme Court had earlier ruled that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State did not conduct valid primaries, and therefore, the party was not qualified to field candidates in the 2019 general elections.

In a judgment delivered on February 13, 2019, the Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Appeal Court, which had earlier nullified the APC's primaries in Zamfara State. The court held that the APC's failure to conduct valid primaries meant that the party did not have a valid candidate for the governorship election in the state.

So, it's unlikely that the Supreme Court would give Zamfara APC a new date, as the party's chances of participating in the election were already ruled out by the court.
