According to sources, Governor Lalong, who is the Chairman of the Northern Governors' Forum, met with President Buhari at the State House in Abuja to discuss the deepening security concerns in the country. The meeting was said to have focused on finding solutions to the growing insecurity in the country, particularly in the North.
During the meeting, Governor Lalong is said to have expressed his deep concern over the rising cases of banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of violence in the country, which he believes are threatening the stability and security of the nation.
President Buhari, according to sources, assured Governor Lalong that his administration is committed to addressing the security challenges facing the country and that he is working closely with the security agencies to ensure that the situation is brought under control.
The meeting was said to have been a productive one, with both parties agreeing to work together to find lasting solutions to the security challenges facing the country.
It is worth noting that Governor Yari is the former Governor of Zamfara State, not Plateau State.
