Senate moves to establish nigerian army university

I think there may be some confusion here. The Nigerian Senate has not moved to establish a Nigerian Army University. However, there have been efforts to establish a university of defense and security studies in Nigeria.

In 2019, the Nigerian Senate passed a bill to establish the Nigerian University of Defense and Security Studies (NUDSS) in Abuja. The bill was sponsored by Senator Ali Ndume, who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army.

The proposed university is aimed at providing specialized education and training in defense and security studies, with a focus on producing graduates who can contribute to the country's national security and defense efforts.

While the Nigerian Army has its own training institutions, such as the Nigerian Army School of Infantry and the Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering, the proposed university would provide a more comprehensive and specialized education in defense and security studies.

It's worth noting that the bill to establish NUDSS is still pending presidential assent, which is required for it to become law.
