Scripture on new wine skin

The concept of "new wine skin" is mentioned in the Bible in the book of Matthew, chapter 9, verse 17, and in the book of Mark, chapter 2, verse 22. Here are the relevant scriptures:

Matthew 9:17 (NKJV) "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins, lest both the new wine bursts the wineskins and spoils them. But new wine must be put into new wineskins."

Mark 2:22 (NKJV) "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined."

In these passages, Jesus is using the metaphor of new wine and old wineskins to teach about the importance of spiritual renewal and the need for a new way of living. Just as new wine requires a new wineskin to contain it, so too does the new wine of the Holy Spirit require a new heart and a new way of living.

The old wineskins in this passage represent the old, worn-out, and ineffective ways of living that are no longer suitable for the new wine of the Holy Spirit. The new wine represents the fresh, powerful, and life-giving presence of God in our lives.

Jesus is saying that if we try to put the new wine of the Holy Spirit into the old wineskins of our old ways of living, it will burst the wineskins and spoil them. Instead, we need to put the new wine into new wineskins, which represent a new heart, a new mind, and a new way of living that is open to the fresh and powerful presence of God.

This passage is often seen as a call to spiritual renewal and transformation, and is a reminder that we need to be open to the new things that God is doing in our lives, and to be willing to let go of the old ways of living that are no longer effective.
