Sassa (South African Social Security Agency) payment dates for August 2022 are as follows:
Grant Payments:
- Old Age Grant: 3rd of August 2022
- Disability Grant: 3rd of August 2022
- Child Support Grant: 6th of August 2022
- Foster Child Grant: 6th of August 2022
- Care Dependency Grant: 6th of August 2022
- War Veterans Grant: 6th of August 2022
- Late Child Support Grant: 13th of August 2022
Other Payments:
- Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant: 17th of August 2022

Additionally, Sassa has introduced a new payment system, which allows beneficiaries to receive their grants on the 1st of each month, instead of the traditional payment dates. This new system is being rolled out gradually, and beneficiaries who are part of this new system will receive their grants on the 1st of each month.
It's also important to note that Sassa has a mobile app, Sassa Self Service, which allows beneficiaries to check their grant status, update their personal details, and receive notifications about their payments. The app is available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
