The president of the Nigerian Senate, Bukola Saraki has expressed happiness that his trial before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) on an allegation of false asset declaration in 2003 has commenced eventually.

 

According to a statement by Saraki’s Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Yusuph Olaniyonu, the Tuesday proceedings gave him confidence that if the trial is conducted fairly he would be vindicated.
