Cristiano Ronaldo has won the Ballon d'Or five times, but not in the most recent award. The 2021 Ballon d'Or award was won by Lionel Messi, who secured his seventh Ballon d'Or title.

Ronaldo has won the Ballon d'Or five times: in 2008, 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2017. While he is an incredible player and one of the greatest of all time, he has not won the award in the most recent years.
