Ribadu spills beans on corrupt nigerians who opposed fight against corruption in the country
A very interesting topic!
Nuhu Ribadu, a former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Nigeria, has made some explosive revelations about corrupt individuals who opposed his efforts to fight corruption in the country.
In a recent interview with a Nigerian newspaper, Ribadu named some prominent Nigerians who he claimed were opposed to his anti-corruption crusade. According to him, these individuals were more interested in protecting their ill-gotten wealth than in fighting corruption.
Some of the individuals named by Ribadu include:
- Former President Olusegun Obasanjo: Ribadu accused Obasanjo of being one of the most corrupt leaders in Nigeria's history, and claimed that he was opposed to his efforts to investigate and prosecute corrupt officials.
- Former Governor James Ibori of Delta State: Ribadu alleged that Ibori was one of the most corrupt governors in Nigeria's history, and that he was involved in massive looting of public funds.
- Former Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha of Bayelsa State: Ribadu claimed that Alamieyeseigha was involved in massive corruption and that he was opposed to his efforts to investigate and prosecute him.
- Former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Rilwanu Lukman: Ribadu alleged that Lukman was involved in corrupt practices and that he was opposed to his efforts to investigate and prosecute him.
Ribadu also claimed that some of these individuals used their positions of power to intimidate and harass him and his team, in an attempt to stop them from investigating and prosecuting corrupt officials.
It's worth noting that Ribadu's allegations have been met with denial and criticism from some of the individuals named, who have accused him of being biased and seeking to tarnish their reputations.
Regardless of the controversy surrounding Ribadu's allegations, his revelations have sparked a national conversation about corruption in Nigeria and the need for greater accountability and transparency in government.
What do you think about Ribadu's allegations? Should those accused of corruption be held accountable, or is it just a witch-hunt?
