Reps cttee pledges open investigation of nddc boss sack
Here is a possible response:
The Reps Committee on Public Accounts has pledged to conduct an open investigation into the sack of the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei.
The committee, led by Hon. Wole Oke, made this pledge during a meeting with the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and other stakeholders in Abuja.
According to reports, the committee is seeking to unravel the circumstances surrounding the sack of Professor Pondei, who was removed from office by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government in June.
The committee has also invited the former NDDC boss to appear before it to shed more light on the allegations of financial mismanagement and corruption levelled against him.
In a statement, Hon. Oke said the committee is committed to conducting a thorough and transparent investigation into the matter, adding that it will not tolerate any form of cover-up or attempt to suppress the truth.
"We will leave no stone unturned in our investigation. We will get to the root of the matter and ensure that those found guilty are held accountable," Hon. Oke said.
The committee's investigation is expected to be completed within the next few weeks, and its findings will be made public.
It is hoped that the investigation will help to restore public confidence in the NDDC and ensure that the commission is run in a transparent and accountable manner.
