Psalm 91 good news version
Here is Psalm 91 in the Good News Bible (GNB):
Psalm 91
You who live in the shelter of God, who rest in the shadow of the Almighty, say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
He will rescue you from the trap of the hunter and from the deadly snare.
His big wings will cover you, and you will find shelter under his wings. You will be safe from the hunter's trap and from the deadly snare.
His truth will be your shield and protection. You will not fear any danger by day or night, nor any plague that may come your way. You will not fear the disease that spreads in the darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at noon.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will see it with your own eyes and witness the punishment of the wicked.
The Lord will keep you safe and secure, both now and forevermore. The Lord will keep you safe and secure, and he will be your shelter and your stronghold.
You will know that he is your God, who redeemed you. He will come to save you.
