Psalm 91 good news bible version

Here is Psalm 91 in the Good News Bible (GNB) version:

Psalm 91

You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who set your feet upon the rock, and who hold fast to the One who is higher than you— the God who is your refuge, even the Most High, who is your shelter.

He will rescue you from the snare of the birdcatcher and from the deadly trap.

His mighty arm will keep you safe. His eye is always watching over you, and he will keep you from being hurt. You will not be afraid of the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noon.

A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

You will only look and see the punishment of the wicked. If you make the Most High your shelter, the God who is higher than you, the God who is your refuge, even the Most High, who is your shelter, no evil will befall you, no plague will come near your tent.

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. They will carry you in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. Because he is your God, he will give you his angels to protect you, to keep you in all your ways. They will carry you in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

On the lion and the snake you will trample; you will crush the young lion and the serpent. Those who love me will be rescued from them, and they will trample the young lions.

Because he is your God, he will give you his angels to protect you, to keep you in all your ways. They will carry you in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
