Psalm 72 good news bible

Here is Psalm 72 in the Good News Bible (GNB):

Psalm 72

A Prayer for the King

1 Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to a king's son. 2 May he judge your people with fairness, and your poor ones with justice. 3 May the mountains bring prosperity to the people, and the hills bring their harvest. 4 May the people flourish under his rule, and may all the ends of the earth be at peace. 5 May the south wind bring gentle rain, and the north wind bring the spring rains. May your fields be filled with plenty, and your ground be rich with grain. 6 May the people rejoice in your presence, and may all your creatures be glad. 7 May the hills be covered with your people's sheep, and may the valleys be filled with grain. May they shout for joy and sing. 8 May the trees in the forest sing for joy, and the wild animals join in the celebration. May they praise the Lord for his goodness, and for the way he gives them rain. 9 May the king's rule be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. 10 May the desert tribes bow down before him, and may his enemies kiss the ground. 11 May the kings of Tarshish and the islands bring gifts, and may the kings of Sheba and Seba offer sacrifices. 12 May all the kings of the earth worship him, and may all the nations be glad. 13 The heavens will praise him, and all the earth will celebrate. 14 The Lord will be the hope of all the earth, and he will be the source of strength for all the ends of the earth. 15 May he be the one who saves you, and may you rejoice in his presence. 16 May he be your hope and your salvation, and may you pray to him always.
