Psalm 45

A Royal Wedding Psalm

1 My heart is overflowing with praise to you, God Most High! I will praise you, my God, as long as I live. 2 I will praise your name forever and ever, and give thanks to you every day. 3 The king is to be honored, your servant is to be praised, the one who proclaims your mighty acts. 4 The king's daughter is all glorious within, her clothing is woven with gold. 5 In embroidered robes she is led to the king, the young women, her companions, are brought to you. 6 They are brought in with joy and gladness, they enter the palace of the king. 7 Your sons will take the place of your ancestors; you will make them princes throughout the land. 8 I will give thanks to you, Lord, because you have looked favorably on your servant. 9 You have wiped away my tears; you have given me a crown. 10 You have anointed me with the finest oil; my cup is overflowing. 11 My heart is singing a happy song to you, my God, because you have looked favorably on me. 12 I will praise you, my God, as long as I live, and give thanks to you every day.
