Psalm 28 good news bible
Here is Psalm 28 in the Good News Bible (GNB):
Psalm 28
- To the leader. Of David.
I cry out to you, Lord, for only you can help me. Listen to my prayer, Lord. 2. In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. 3. For you are not a God who delights in evil; with the wicked, you will not stay. 4. The arrogant cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who do wrong. 5. You destroy those who speak lies; the Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful. 6. But I, Lord, am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your maidservant. You have freed me from my chains. 7. I will offer you sacrifices of thanksgiving and call on the name of the Lord. 8. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord, in the presence of all his people. 9. In the courts of the Lord's house, in the midst of you, Jerusalem, praise the Lord.
Prayer
- The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped. My heart exults, and with my song I give him praise.
- The Lord is the strength of his people, the saving refuge of his anointed one.
- Save your people, Lord, and bless your inheritance. Be their shepherd and carry them forever.
