Psalm 18 good news bible
Here is Psalm 18 in the Good News Bible (GNB):
Psalm 18
David's Song of Victory
1 I love you, Lord, my strength. 2 The Lord is my rock, my savior, my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
3 I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. 4 The cords of death entangled me, the snares of the grave took hold of me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow. 5 Then I called on the name of the Lord: "Lord, save me, your servant! I call on you, my God, for you answer me."
6 You are my God, and I praise you; you are my God, and I exalt you. 7 You are the one who did great things, who performed mighty deeds, who shattered the sea monster. 8 You saved me from the power of the enemy, from the snare of the wicked. 9 You gave me room to breathe, and I was not disgraced. You lifted my head high, and I was not ashamed.
10 I will praise you, Lord, my God, as long as I live. I will praise you, my God, as long as I live, and I will give thanks to you every day. 11 You are my help and my shield, my stronghold and my savior, my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
12 To the Lord my God I will offer thanks, for he is good to me. He has been my salvation, and my God is my rock.
13 God has gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet. 14 Sing praise to the Lord, you heavenly beings; praise him in the heights of his holy temple. 15 He holds back his anger; he does not let it rage. He does not afflict us in his anger, nor does he harbor his wrath.
16 You have set my feet on a rock, and made my steps secure. 17 You put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.
18 Bless the Lord, you heavenly beings; praise him, you heavenly beings. 19 Praise the Lord, you waters, praise the Lord, you rivers. 20 Praise the Lord, you heavenly beings, praise the Lord, you heavenly beings.
