Psalm 16 new living translation

Here is Psalm 16 in the New Living Translation (NLT):

Psalm 16

  1. Protect me, God, for I have come to you for safety.
  2. You are my God, and I trust in you. I will praise you, Lord, because you have helped me and have not let my enemies triumph over me.
  3. You have lifted my head high among those around me.
  4. I will praise you, Lord, because you have helped me and have not let my enemies triumph over me.
  5. You have surrounded me with songs of deliverance.
  6. In the presence of my enemies, you have given me a crown of victory.
  7. I will not give you up to death or let your Holy One see decay.
  8. You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
  9. The righteous will rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him; all the upright in heart will glory in you!
  10. For you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
  11. You will show me the path of life, the abundance of joy in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever.
  12. The righteous will boast in the Lord and take refuge in him; all the upright in heart will glory in you!

Note: The New Living Translation (NLT) is a dynamic equivalence translation, which means it aims to convey the same meaning and tone as the original text, rather than a word-for-word translation.
