Psalm 16 new living translation
Here is Psalm 16 in the New Living Translation (NLT):
Psalm 16
- Protect me, God, for I have come to you for safety.
- You are my God, and I trust in you. I will praise you, Lord, because you have helped me and have not let my enemies triumph over me.
- You have lifted my head high among those around me.
- I will praise you, Lord, because you have helped me and have not let my enemies triumph over me.
- You have surrounded me with songs of deliverance.
- In the presence of my enemies, you have given me a crown of victory.
- I will not give you up to death or let your Holy One see decay.
- You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
- The righteous will rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him; all the upright in heart will glory in you!
- For you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.
- You will show me the path of life, the abundance of joy in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever.
- The righteous will boast in the Lord and take refuge in him; all the upright in heart will glory in you!
Note: The New Living Translation (NLT) is a dynamic equivalence translation, which means it aims to convey the same meaning and tone as the original text, rather than a word-for-word translation.
