Psalm 15 good news bible
Here is Psalm 15 in the Good News Bible (GNB):
Psalm 15
A Psalm of David
1 The Lord is the one who helps me, so I will look to him for my salvation. 2 The Lord is the one who helps me, so I will look to him for my salvation. 3 The one who does what is right and never cheats or tells lies, who does not hurt anyone or do anything wrong, 4 who lends money without charging interest and does not take bribes, 5 who does not accept a bribe to do what is wrong, who does not look at another's wife or crave another's property, 6 who does not slander others or harm their reputation, 7 who does not hate their brother or mother, father, son, or daughter, who does not reject the poor or turn away from the needy, 8 who keeps their promises and does not cheat their friends, 9 who does not lend money at interest or take a bribe, who does not look at another's wife or crave another's property, 10 who does what is right and never cheats or tells lies, who does not hurt anyone or do anything wrong, 11 then the Lord will be their friend, and will show them his favor, and will give them peace.
This psalm is a beautiful expression of what it means to live a life that is pleasing to God. It describes the characteristics of someone who is righteous and just, and who seeks to live in harmony with God and with others. The psalm concludes by promising that God will be a friend to those who live this kind of life, and will show them his favor and give them peace.
