Here is Psalm 148 in the Good News Bible (GNB):

Praise the Lord

1 Praise the Lord from the heavens! Praise him from the heavens in his glory. 2 Praise him, all his angels! Praise him, all his mighty ones! 3 Praise him, sun and moon! Praise him, all you stars of light! 4 Praise him, you highest heavens! And you waters above the heavens! 5 Let them praise the name of the Lord, For he commanded and they were created. 6 He set them in place forever and ever, And gave them an order that will never change.

7 Praise the Lord from the earth, You sea monsters and all the deep sea creatures! 8 Fire and hail, snow and ice, Stormy winds that do his bidding! 9 Mountains and all hills, Trees and all that grow from the earth! 10 Wild animals and all cattle, Creeping things and flying birds! 11 Kings of the earth and all people, Rulers and judges of the earth! 12 Young men and women too, Old men and children. 13 Let them praise the name of the Lord, For his name alone is exalted. His glory is above the earth and heaven.

14 He has lifted up the horn of his people, The praise of all his saints, Of the people of Israel, who are near him. 15 Praise the Lord!
