Psalm 118

1. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love lasts forever!
2. Let the Israelites say this, for his love lasts forever!
3. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I was saved from my enemies.
4. The cords of death entangled me; the troubles of the grave surrounded me. But in my distress I called to the Lord; I called out to my God. Who is the God of my salvation? The Lord is the God of my salvation!
5. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
6. The Lord is with me; he helps me. The Lord is with me and rescues me. He is my salvation!
7. Be glad, Israel! Be glad and celebrate! Sing praises to the Lord, all you nations!
8. For he has a plan to prosper you, not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future.

10. For the Lord has done great things for us; he has set us free from our enemies.
