Psalm 104 good news bible
Here is Psalm 104 in the Good News Bible (GNB):
Psalm 104
-
Bless the Lord, my soul! Praise his holy name!
-
My soul, bless the Lord, and do not forget all his benefits.
-
He forgives all my sins, and heals all my diseases.
-
He redeems my life from the grave, and crowns me with love and compassion.
-
He satisfies my needs with good things, and renews my youth like the eagle's.
-
The Lord does justice for the oppressed, and gives food to the hungry.
-
The Lord sets prisoners free, and gives sight to the blind.
-
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, and loves the righteous.
-
The Lord watches over the strangers, and helps the orphan and the widow, but he thwarts the way of the wicked.
-
The Lord will reign forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the Lord!
-
He made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun to mark the days.
-
He set the earth on its foundations, so that it will never be shaken.
-
Praise the Lord, my soul!
-
He causes the springs to bubble forth, and the streams to flow between the hills.
-
He gives food to the animals, and to the young ravens when they cry.
-
He is not pleased with the strength of horses, nor does he take pleasure in human strength.
-
The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who put their hope in his love.
-
Bless the Lord, my soul! Praise the Lord!
This psalm is a beautiful expression of praise and gratitude to God for his many blessings and mercies. It highlights God's power and provision, as well as his care for all of creation.
