Festus Keyamo Alleges False Allegations Against Dumebi Kachikwu, Younger Brother of Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, GMD NNPC and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources

Lagos, Nigeria - Festus Keyamo, a renowned lawyer and former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, has alleged that false and malicious allegations have been made against Dumebi Kachikwu, the younger brother of Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources.

In a statement issued today, Keyamo expressed deep concern over the alleged false allegations made against Dumebi Kachikwu, which he described as "baseless, unfounded, and malicious". Keyamo, who is a respected figure in the legal profession, emphasized that he has a duty to defend the integrity and reputation of individuals who are unfairly targeted by false allegations.

According to Keyamo, the alleged false allegations against Dumebi Kachikwu are part of a larger scheme to discredit and undermine the reputation of Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, who has been a vocal advocate for transparency and accountability in the oil and gas sector. Keyamo warned that such malicious attacks on individuals and institutions can have far-reaching consequences for the country's economy and stability.

Keyamo's statement reads in part:

"I am compelled to speak out against the false and malicious allegations made against Dumebi Kachikwu, the younger brother of Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, GMD NNPC and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources. These allegations are baseless, unfounded, and malicious, and are part of a larger scheme to discredit and undermine the reputation of Dr. Ibe Kachikwu.

As a lawyer and a former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, I have a duty to defend the integrity and reputation of individuals who are unfairly targeted by false allegations. I urge all Nigerians to reject these malicious attacks and to stand with Dr. Ibe Kachikwu and his family in their quest for transparency and accountability in the oil and gas sector.

I also urge the relevant authorities to investigate these allegations and to take appropriate action against those responsible for spreading false information. We must not allow false allegations to undermine the reputation of individuals and institutions, and to create an atmosphere of fear and intimidation in our society."
