President buhari asks ministers to submit handover notes

According to reports, President Muhammadu Buhari has directed all outgoing ministers to submit their handover notes to the Permanent Secretaries in their respective ministries.

This directive was given by the President on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, as part of the process of handing over power to the incoming administration.

The handover notes are expected to contain information on the current state of affairs in each ministry, including ongoing projects, policies, and initiatives, as well as challenges and recommendations for the future.

The submission of handover notes is a standard practice in many countries, including Nigeria, to ensure a smooth transition of power and to enable the incoming administration to build on the achievements of the outgoing government.

The President's directive is seen as a step in the right direction, as it will enable the incoming administration to hit the ground running and make informed decisions about the direction of the country.

It is worth noting that the President's directive comes ahead of the inauguration of the new administration, which is scheduled to take place on May 29, 2023.
