Prayer for the new year 2021
Here's a prayer for the new year 2021:
Dear God,
As we welcome the new year, we come before you with gratitude and hope. We thank you for the blessings of the past year and for the opportunities you have given us to grow and learn.
As we look to the future, we ask that you guide us and direct us. Help us to set our sights on your kingdom and to seek your will for our lives. Give us wisdom and discernment as we make decisions and navigate the challenges that lie ahead.
May the new year be a time of renewal and refreshment for us. May we be filled with your Spirit and empowered to live out our faith in a way that honors you.
We pray for our families, our friends, and our communities. May we be a source of love, support, and encouragement to one another. May we work together to build a brighter future for all people.
We also pray for the world. May the new year bring peace and prosperity to all nations. May we work together to address the challenges that face us, such as poverty, hunger, and injustice.
Finally, we pray for ourselves. May we be people who are humble, kind, and compassionate. May we be people who are willing to serve and to give, and who are grateful for the blessings we have received.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
