BREAKING: Police Arrests 3 Kidnappers in Benue State

The Benue State Police Command has announced the arrest of three suspected kidnappers who were terrorizing residents of the state.

According to a statement issued by the Command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Catherine Anene, the suspects were arrested on Tuesday evening at a hideout in the outskirts of Makurdi, the state capital.

The statement said that the suspects, who are all males, were arrested following a tip-off from a member of the public who reported a kidnapping incident in the area.

"Upon investigation, the suspects were found to be in possession of a ransom demand note and other incriminating items," the statement said.

The suspects, who are identified as Terhemen Iorbee, 25, Terwase Iorbee, 28, and Terwase Terna, 30, are currently being held at the Police Headquarters in Makurdi.

The Police Commissioner, CP Fatai Owoseni, has commended the member of the public who provided the information that led to the arrest of the suspects, and assured that the Command will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all residents of the state.

The Commissioner also appealed to members of the public to continue to provide information that will help the Police to combat crime and ensure that those who engage in criminal activities are brought to justice.

The Benue State Government has also commended the Police for the arrest and promised to continue to support the Command in its efforts to maintain law and order in the state.

The arrested suspects will be charged to court soon.
