Photographer becomes part of croatia world cup goal celebration
What a fantastic story!
It's not every day that a photographer gets to become part of a World Cup goal celebration, but that's exactly what happened to a Croatian photographer named Goran Stanzl.
During the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Stanzl was capturing the action on the pitch when Croatia's Mario Mandžukić scored a dramatic extra-time goal against England in the semi-final match. As the Croatian players rushed to celebrate, Stanzl found himself swept up in the chaos and ended up being lifted onto the shoulders of the players, including Mandžukić himself!
The incredible moment was captured by other photographers and cameras, and soon went viral around the world. Stanzl's impromptu celebration became an iconic image of the tournament, symbolizing the joy and excitement of the Croatian team and their fans.
In an interview with The Guardian, Stanzl recalled the moment: "I was just doing my job, taking pictures, and then suddenly I was lifted up by the players. I was like: 'What's happening? Is this real?' It was an incredible feeling, being part of that moment."
Stanzl's photo was even featured on the cover of the Croatian sports magazine, Sportske novosti, and he was hailed as a hero by the Croatian media and fans.
Who knows, maybe Stanzl's photo will be remembered as one of the most iconic World Cup moments of all time!
