Ibadan, Oyo State - The Oyo State Police Command has paraded 47 suspects for various criminal offences, including armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism, and other heinous crimes.

The parade, which took place at the Police Headquarters in Ibadan, was led by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ngozi Onadeko.

According to the police commissioner, the suspects were arrested in various operations carried out by the command in the past few weeks.

"We have been working tirelessly to rid our state of criminal elements, and we are pleased to announce that we have made significant progress in this regard," Mr. Onadeko said.

The suspects, who are made up of 35 males and 12 females, were arrested for various crimes, including armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism, and possession of illegal firearms.

Some of the notable cases include a 25-year-old man who was arrested for kidnapping a 10-year-old boy in Ibadan, and a 30-year-old woman who was arrested for being a member of a notorious cult group.

The police commissioner also announced that the command had recovered several illegal firearms, including pistols, rifles, and shotguns, as well as stolen vehicles and other valuables.

"We will continue to work hard to ensure that our state is safe for all citizens, and we urge anyone with information about criminal activities to come forward and assist us in our efforts," Mr. Onadeko said.

The suspects are currently being detained at the police headquarters and will be charged to court soon.
