Olympics tokyo finishes building stadium for 2020
I think there may be some confusion here!
The 2020 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXII Olympiad, were held in Tokyo, Japan, from July 24 to August 9, 2020. The Olympic Stadium, also known as the New National Stadium, was indeed built for the Games.
However, the stadium was not finished in 2020. In fact, the construction of the stadium was delayed several times due to various issues, including design changes, cost overruns, and construction problems.
The original plan was to complete the stadium by November 2019, but it was not finished until December 2019. The stadium was officially opened on December 21, 2019, with a ceremony marking its completion.
The New National Stadium is a state-of-the-art facility with a seating capacity of over 68,000. It was designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and features a unique design inspired by traditional Japanese architecture.
Despite the delays, the stadium was ready to host the Olympic events during the 2020 Summer Olympics, including the opening and closing ceremonies, track and field events, and other sports competitions.
