Ohanaeze seeks identity of 156 passengers on index case flight

It appears that Ohanaeze Ndigbo, a socio-cultural organization of the Igbo people, has issued a statement seeking the identity of 156 passengers who were on the same flight as the index case of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

According to reports, the index case, a 44-year-old Italian national, arrived in Nigeria on February 25, 2020, on a Turkish Airlines flight from Milan to Lagos. The flight had 156 passengers on board, and Ohanaeze Ndigbo is seeking the identities of these passengers to facilitate contact tracing and monitoring.

The organization's statement reads:

"We are calling on the 156 passengers who were on the Turkish Airlines flight from Milan to Lagos on February 25, 2020, to come forward and provide their contact details to the relevant authorities. This is to enable the necessary contact tracing and monitoring to prevent the spread of the virus."

Ohanaeze Ndigbo is urging the passengers to cooperate with the authorities to ensure the containment of the virus and the protection of public health.

It's worth noting that the Nigerian government has already identified and contacted some of the passengers, but the organization is seeking to reach out to the remaining ones to ensure that all necessary measures are taken to prevent the spread of the virus.
