Ogun mulls adoption of tax credit initiative with dangote group to fix federal roads

It appears that the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, is considering a partnership with the Dangote Group to adopt a tax credit initiative to fix federal roads in the state.

According to reports, the Governor has expressed his willingness to collaborate with the Dangote Group to adopt a tax credit initiative that would enable the company to offset its tax liabilities by investing in the rehabilitation of federal roads in Ogun State.

The initiative, if implemented, would allow the Dangote Group to claim tax credits for the amount it spends on road rehabilitation, which would then be offset against its tax liabilities. This would provide an incentive for the company to invest in the rehabilitation of federal roads, which would benefit the state and its residents.

The Governor has reportedly stated that the partnership would not only benefit the Dangote Group but also the people of Ogun State, who would enjoy improved road infrastructure and reduced travel time.

It's worth noting that the adoption of a tax credit initiative would require the approval of the Federal Government, as well as the Ogun State Government. However, if successful, it could serve as a model for other states and companies to collaborate on infrastructure development.

What do you think about this initiative? Do you think it's a good idea for the Dangote Group to invest in the rehabilitation of federal roads in Ogun State?
