Nysc new minimum wage

As of 2022, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Nigeria has a minimum wage of N30,000 (Thirty Thousand Naira) per month. This is the minimum amount that NYSC members are entitled to receive as a monthly stipend during their service year.

It's worth noting that the NYSC stipend is not a salary, but rather a monthly allowance provided to corps members to help them cover their living expenses during their service year. The stipend is meant to be used to cover basic expenses such as food, accommodation, and other necessities.

The N30,000 minimum wage for NYSC members was introduced in 2020, as part of the Federal Government's efforts to improve the welfare of corps members. Prior to this, the minimum wage for NYSC members was N19,800 per month.

It's also important to note that the actual amount of money that NYSC members receive may vary depending on the state and local government where they are serving. Some states and local governments may provide additional allowances or incentives to corps members, while others may not.
