Nscdc new rank structure
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has undergone several reforms, including a new rank structure. Here is the current rank structure of the NSCDC:
Commissioner's Office
- Commandant General (CG) - The highest rank in the NSCDC, responsible for the overall administration and supervision of the corps.
- Deputy Commandant General (DCG) - Assists the Commandant General and deputizes for him in his absence.
Directorate
- Director (D) - Heads a directorate, which is a department or section within the NSCDC.
- Deputy Director (DD) - Assists the Director and deputizes for him in his absence.
Assistant Director
- Assistant Director (AD) - A senior officer responsible for overseeing a specific section or department within the NSCDC.
Superintendent
- Superintendent (SP) - A senior officer responsible for supervising a team of officers and carrying out specific tasks.
- Deputy Superintendent (DSP) - Assists the Superintendent and deputizes for him in his absence.
Inspector
- Inspector (IP) - A junior officer responsible for carrying out specific tasks and supervising a team of personnel.
- Deputy Inspector (DIP) - Assists the Inspector and deputizes for him in his absence.
Assistant Inspector
- Assistant Inspector (AI) - A junior officer responsible for carrying out specific tasks and assisting the Inspector.
Corporal
- Corporal (CPL) - A junior officer responsible for carrying out specific tasks and assisting the Assistant Inspector.
Constable
- Constable (CT) - The lowest rank in the NSCDC, responsible for carrying out specific tasks and assisting the Corporal.
