Nine times more new coronavirus cases outside china than in ―who

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), as of February 2020, there were nine times more new cases of COVID-19 reported outside of China than within China.

This information was reported by the WHO in their Situation Report 26, published on February 11, 2020. The report stated that between January 21 and February 9, 2020, there were 7,711 reported cases outside of China, compared to 811 reported cases within China.

This disparity was likely due to the fact that China had implemented strict travel restrictions and public health measures early on in the outbreak, which helped to slow the spread of the virus within the country. In contrast, many countries outside of China had not yet implemented such measures, leading to a higher number of cases being reported.
