Ahmed Lawan is a Nigerian politician who has been serving as the Senate President of Nigeria since June 2019. He was born on January 25, 1959, in Talata Mafara, Zamfara State, Nigeria. Lawan is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and has been a senator since 2007. He was previously the Senate Leader and has served as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Accounts.
