N500 Note:

The new naira notes have several security features to prevent counterfeiting, including:
- Watermark: A transparent image of the Nigerian coat of arms that appears when held against light.
- Security thread: A thin strip of material embedded in the paper that glows when held under UV light.
- Raised printing: Raised patterns and textures on the notes that can be felt when touched.
- Microprinting: Tiny text that is difficult to read with the naked eye.
- Color-shifting ink: Ink that changes color when viewed from different angles.
The CBN has also introduced a mobile app, "Naira Redesign," to help Nigerians identify the new notes and report any suspected counterfeits.
