Nigeria bobsledders welcomed home ahead winter olympics

I think there may be some confusion here!

Nigeria did not have a bobsled team at the Winter Olympics. However, Nigeria did make history by becoming the first African country to qualify a bobsled team for the Winter Olympics in 2018. The team, consisting of Ngozi Onwumere, Seun Adigun, and Akuoma Omeoga, qualified for the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

After their historic qualification, the Nigerian bobsled team was welcomed back home with a hero's welcome in Lagos, Nigeria. The team was celebrated for their achievement, which marked a significant milestone for Nigerian sports and inspired a new generation of athletes in the country.

So, to clarify, the Nigerian bobsled team was welcomed home after qualifying for the Winter Olympics, not after competing in the Winter Olympics.
