New zodiac sign dates
You're referring to the recent changes to the zodiac calendar!
In 2011, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) redefined the boundaries between the 12 zodiac signs to better align with the actual positions of the stars and constellations. As a result, the dates for each zodiac sign were slightly adjusted.
Here are the new dates for each zodiac sign:
- Aquarius: January 20 - February 18 (previously January 20 - February 19)
- Pisces: February 19 - March 20 (previously February 19 - March 20)
- Aries: March 21 - April 19 (previously March 21 - April 19)
- Taurus: April 20 - May 20 (previously April 20 - May 21)
- Gemini: May 21 - June 20 (previously May 21 - June 20)
- Cancer: June 21 - July 22 (previously June 21 - July 22)
- Leo: July 23 - August 22 (previously July 23 - August 22)
- Virgo: August 23 - September 22 (previously August 23 - September 22)
- Libra: September 23 - October 22 (previously September 23 - October 22)
- Scorpio: October 23 - November 21 (previously October 23 - November 22)
- Sagittarius: November 22 - December 21 (previously November 22 - December 21)
- Capricorn: December 22 - January 19 (previously December 22 - January 19)
These new dates are based on the actual positions of the stars and constellations, and are intended to provide a more accurate representation of the zodiac signs. However, it's worth noting that some astrologers and astronomers still use the traditional dates, which were based on the ancient Greek system.
