New zodiac dates
You're referring to the recent changes to the traditional zodiac dates!
In 2020, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) officially redefined the boundaries of the 13 constellations that make up the zodiac. This change was made to better align the zodiac with the actual positions of the stars and constellations in the sky.
As a result, the traditional zodiac dates have been shifted by about 23 days. Here are the new zodiac dates:
Traditional Zodiac Dates (pre-2020)
- Aries: March 21 - April 19
- Taurus: April 20 - May 20
- Gemini: May 21 - June 20
- Cancer: June 21 - July 22
- Leo: July 23 - August 22
- Virgo: August 23 - September 22
- Libra: September 23 - October 22
- Scorpio: October 23 - November 21
- Sagittarius: November 22 - December 21
- Capricorn: December 22 - January 19
- Aquarius: January 20 - February 18
- Pisces: February 19 - March 20
New Zodiac Dates (post-2020)
- Aries: March 11 - April 18
- Taurus: April 19 - May 20
- Gemini: May 21 - June 20
- Cancer: June 21 - July 20
- Leo: July 21 - August 22
- Virgo: August 23 - September 22
- Libra: September 23 - October 22
- Scorpio: October 23 - November 21
- Sagittarius: November 22 - December 21
- Capricorn: December 22 - January 19
- Aquarius: January 20 - February 18
- Pisces: February 19 - March 10
Keep in mind that these new dates are still being adopted by some astrologers and may not be universally accepted. However, the IAU's redefinition is now the official standard for astronomical purposes.
