- Visitors from visa-waiver countries (including the US, UK, Canada, and Australia) can now stay in New Zealand for up to 90 days without a visa.

- The Skilled Migrant Category has been replaced by the Skilled Work Category, which prioritizes applicants with skills in high-demand areas.

- The Work to Residence visa has been replaced by the Work Visa, which allows workers to live and work in New Zealand for up to 30 months.
