New temple recommend questions
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints periodically updates the temple recommend questions to reflect changes in doctrine, policy, and emphasis. Here are the current temple recommend questions for adults and children:
Adult Temple Recommend Questions:
- Do you have faith in God the Eternal Father? In His Son Jesus Christ? And in the Holy Ghost?
- Do you have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and of His restored Church? Do you testify publicly and privately that God is the Eternal Father of us all and that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world?
- Do you sustain the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the prophet, seer, and revelator for the Church?
- Do you pay your tithing and other offerings as you are able?
- Do you observe the Sabbath day and keep it holy?
- Do you partake of the sacrament worthily?
- Do you strive to keep your covenants and commandments?
- Do you seek spiritual guidance and direction in your life?
- Do you strive to be a good neighbor and a good citizen?
- Do you strive to be a good parent and a good member of your family?
Children's Temple Recommend Questions:
For Children Aged 8-11:
- Do you believe in God the Eternal Father and in His Son Jesus Christ?
- Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world?
- Do you believe that the Holy Ghost helps us know what is right and wrong?
- Do you try to be a good person and follow the commandments?
- Do you try to be kind to others and help those in need?
For Children Aged 12-17:
- Do you have faith in God the Eternal Father? In His Son Jesus Christ? And in the Holy Ghost?
- Do you have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and of His restored Church?
- Do you strive to keep your covenants and commandments?
- Do you seek spiritual guidance and direction in your life?
- Do you strive to be a good neighbor and a good citizen?
- Do you strive to be a good parent and a good member of your family?
