New senators
Here is a list of the new senators who were sworn in on January 3, 2021, following the 2020 United States Senate elections:
- Jon Ossoff (D-GA) - Won the special election to fill the seat vacated by Johnny Isakson.
- Raphael Warnock (D-GA) - Won the special election to fill the seat vacated by Kelly Loeffler.
- Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) - Defeated incumbent Doug Jones.
- Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) - Defeated incumbent John Barrasso in the Republican primary, but was re-elected in the general election.
- Roger Marshall (R-KS) - Defeated incumbent Pat Roberts.
- Mark Kelly (D-AZ) - Defeated incumbent Martha McSally.
- John Hickenlooper (D-CO) - Defeated incumbent Cory Gardner.
- Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) - Defeated incumbent Ron Johnson.
- Maggie Hassan (D-NH) - Defeated incumbent Susan Collins.
- Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) - Defeated incumbent Dean Heller.
- Chris Murphy (D-CT) - Defeated incumbent Richard Blumenthal.
- Ben Ray Luján (D-NM) - Defeated incumbent Martin Heinrich.
- Alex Padilla (D-CA) - Appointed to fill the seat vacated by Kamala Harris, who resigned to become Vice President.
- Shalanda Young (D-LA) - Appointed to fill the seat vacated by John Neely Kennedy, who resigned to become a judge.
