New salary scale for nigeria police

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has a salary scale that is determined by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The salary scale is based on the Consolidated Police Salary Structure (CPSS) and is applicable to all police officers in the country.

  6. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) - N2, 644,000 - N3, 044,000 per annum
  7. Commissioner of Police (CP) - N3, 044,000 - N3, 444,000 per annum
  8. Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) - N3, 444,000 - N3, 844,000 per annum

Total Emoluments:

The total emoluments for a police officer in Nigeria would be the sum of the basic salary and the various allowances. For example, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) with a basic salary of N1, 108,000 would have a total emolument of:

N1, 108,000 (basic salary) + N218,400 (housing allowance) + N110,800 (transport allowance) + N54,400 (uniform allowance) + N110,800 (danger allowance) + N110,800 (duty tour allowance) + N54,400 (other allowances) = N2, 062,400 per annum.
