A new Pirates of the Caribbean movie! Here's what we know so far:

Title: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (working title)

Release Date: July 7, 2017 (originally scheduled for July 2016, but delayed)

Plot: The fifth installment in the franchise follows Henry Turner (Brenton Thwaites), the son of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), who seeks to break a curse that has turned his father into the Flying Dutchman. Henry's quest leads him to meet Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a young astronomer who is accused of being a witch. Together, they embark on a perilous journey to find the Trident of Poseidon, which has the power to break all sea curses.

New Characters:

  1. Henry Turner (Brenton Thwaites): The son of Will and Elizabeth, who is on a quest to break the curse that has turned his father into the Flying Dutchman.

  2. Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush): The infamous pirate captain returns, with his own motivations and agenda.
  3. Will Turner (Orlando Bloom): Henry's father, who is still trapped in the Flying Dutchman.

Director: Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg (Kon-Tiki, Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead)

Script: Jeff Nathanson (Catch Me If You Can, Rush Hour 3) wrote the screenplay, with Jerry Bruckheimer producing.

Music: Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) returns to compose the score.

Filming: Principal photography began in April 2015 and wrapped up in October 2015. The film was shot in various locations, including Australia, the Dominican Republic, and the United Kingdom.

Marketing: Disney has launched a massive marketing campaign, including a series of trailers, TV spots, and promotional tie-ins.

The movie has received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising the action sequences and the return of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, while others have criticized the convoluted plot and lack of character development. Despite this, the film has performed well at the box office, grossing over $794 million worldwide.
