Oluwarotimi Akeredolu

Akeredolu, a lawyer and politician, was re-elected as the Governor of Ondo State in the 2020 gubernatorial election, defeating his closest rival, Eyitayo Jegede, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He was sworn in for his second term on March 18, 2021.

Prior to his governorship, Akeredolu was a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and had served as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) from 2008 to 2010.

As Governor, Akeredolu has been focusing on various initiatives, including infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and economic growth.
