New neco registrar

You're referring to the new NECO Registrar!

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has a new Registrar, Professor Godswill Obioma. He was appointed by the Federal Government of Nigeria in August 2021 to take over from the outgoing Registrar, Professor Charles Uwakwe.

Professor Obioma is a renowned educationist and administrator with a wealth of experience in the sector. He has served in various capacities, including as a lecturer, head of department, and deputy registrar at the University of Benin.

As the new NECO Registrar, Professor Obioma is expected to lead the council in its mandate to conduct national examinations, promote quality education, and ensure the overall development of the education sector in Nigeria.

Under his leadership, NECO is expected to focus on improving the quality of its examinations, increasing access to education, and promoting innovation and technology in the sector.
