As of 2022, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has introduced new naira notes in denominations of N200, N500, and N1,000. These notes are designed to be more secure and durable than the previous ones.
Here are some key features of the new naira notes:

- The security thread is a 3D image of the Nigerian map.
N500 Note:

- The reverse features a collage of Nigerian agricultural and industrial development, including a farmer, a factory, and a train.
- The note has a transparent window with a Nigerian coat of arms.

These new naira notes are designed to be more difficult to counterfeit and to reduce the circulation of fake currency in Nigeria. They also feature advanced security features, such as watermarks, holograms, and micro-printing, to make them more difficult to reproduce.
It's worth noting that the CBN has also introduced a new naira coin, the N50 coin, which features a portrait of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe on the obverse and a collage of Nigerian cultural heritage on the reverse.
