New line on excel

In Excel, there are a few ways to insert a new line:

  1. Press Enter: The simplest way to insert a new line is to press the Enter key on your keyboard. This will move the cursor to the next line and insert a new line break.
  2. Use the "Shift + Enter" shortcut: You can also use the "Shift + Enter" shortcut to insert a new line. This will insert a new line break without moving the cursor.
  3. Use the "Alt + Enter" shortcut: Another way to insert a new line is to use the "Alt + Enter" shortcut. This will insert a new line break and also insert a new row.
  4. Use the "Insert" menu: You can also insert a new line by going to the "Insert" menu and selecting "Line break" or "New line".
  5. Use the "Ctrl + Shift + Enter" shortcut: This shortcut will insert a new line and also insert a new row.

Note: The "Enter" key will move the cursor to the next line and insert a new line break, while the "Shift + Enter" shortcut will insert a new line break without moving the cursor.

Also, you can use the "Line break" or "New line" button in the "Home" tab of the ribbon to insert a new line.

It's worth noting that when you insert a new line, the text will be moved to the next line, but the formatting and alignment of the text will be preserved.
