New line in excel cell
In Excel, you can insert a new line in a cell using the following methods:
Method 1: Using the Enter key
- Type the text you want to enter in the cell.
- Press the Enter key to move to the next line.
Method 2: Using the Shift + Enter keys
- Type the text you want to enter in the cell.
- Press the Shift key and the Enter key simultaneously to insert a new line.
Method 3: Using the Alt + Enter keys
- Type the text you want to enter in the cell.
- Press the Alt key and the Enter key simultaneously to insert a new line.
Method 4: Using the Formula Bar
- Select the cell where you want to insert a new line.
- Go to the Formula Bar and type the text you want to enter.
- Press the Enter key to move to the next line.
Method 5: Using the "Line Break" button
- Select the cell where you want to insert a new line.
- Go to the "Home" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Paragraph" button in the "Alignment" group.
- Click on the "Line Break" button to insert a new line.
Note: The "Line Break" button is only available in Excel 2013 and later versions.
Once you insert a new line in a cell, you can continue typing text, formulas, or other data on the new line.
